We also appreciated the flexibility of a late check-out, allowing us to make the most of our short two-night stay.

We stayed in the Lady Emmeline room, and it was nothing short of stunning. The ensuite bathroom, with its arrow-slit windows, added a unique historical touch that made you feel like you were bathing in a piece of history. The only small suggestion for improvement would be a softer mattress, and perhaps a four-poster bed to match the room’s grand setting—though that’s purely a personal preference.

The Bistro at the clubhouse is the most casual option, offering hearty, flavorful meals. Breakfast served at the castle was equally impressive, with a range of cooked-to-order options. The food is reasonably priced for the quality, and the service in every dining area is friendly and attentive.
